Sharon Baylay-Bell to join PMC as Non-Executive Chair

News | Oxford, UK, 16 July 2025

The Board of PMC is delighted to announce that Sharon Baylay-Bell has joined as Non-Executive Chair

Sharon succeeds Paul Mason, who founded PMC in 2001 and will remain on the Board as a Non-Executive Director.

PMC provides consulting, professional services, digital engineering and managed services to over 120 retail, commerce and technology customers across 24 countries.

Sharon brings tremendous marketing, technology, scale-up, leadership and experience to the PMC board. Sharon spent 16 years with Microsoft working internationally, including as Director of Microsoft’s international online business. After then joining the BBC as Chief Marketing Officer, Sharon has since built a successful portfolio career on the boards of listed and private equity backed businesses, including time as Chair of BGF-backed Driveworks Ltd, Ted Baker Plc, Restore plc, FSP Ltd and most recently, Catalis Group.

Sharon was introduced through the BGF Talent Network and her appointment follows BGF’s recent minority investment in PMC, which will support its ongoing expansion in the provision of technology services to retail and direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands globally; BGF backs technology service provider PMC to power growth in global commerce.

Commenting on her appointment, Sharon said:

PMC has an excellent reputation for its deep sector expertise, trusted partnerships, and commitment to customer success. It’s an exciting time to be joining, as the company builds on the momentum of its WHSmith managed services win and prepares to launch a new digital service for commerce. I look forward to working with the Board and leadership team to help steer PMC through this next phase of ambitious growth.

Paul Mason commented:

PMC was founded with a clear mission, to work closely with our customers to deliver meaningful, lasting change. I’m incredibly proud of what our people and clients have achieved together, guided by a shared ethos of always doing the right thing. With a renewed strategic focus and the backing of BGF, we’re entering an exciting new chapter. Sharon’s extensive experience and collaborative approach will undoubtedly accelerate our progress. We have a highly capable Board and Management team who are energised by these recent developments and I’m genuinely excited for what lies ahead.
